Denise Crawford, wife of the late Walter Crawford, passed away peacefully at her home in Lachine, Quebec on September 15, 2022, at the age of 84 years.
She is survived by her sons Charles (Susan Reid) and Paul; her adored grandchildren Meghan, Mackenzie, Haley, Scott and Jackson; her brothers and sisters Marie (late Maurice Brouillette), Cécile, Jacques, Michel and Prosper (Francine), her brothers-in law Donald and Steve as well as many other relatives and friends.
Denise was born in Edmonton, Alberta and raised in Granby Quebec, one of thirteen children. She was married in Germany and lived in Europe and the U.S. before returning to Montreal. Those who knew Denise recognized her strong will and her love of writing. While caring for her ailing husband and raising her two sons, she completed a university degree and built a successful career in public affairs and magazine editing. She is the author of several novels and continued to write actively until her death.
The family would like to thank the dedicated care of her long-time physician Dr. Robert Kaud as well as the precious support of her niece Anne-Marie Goyette.
The Aquamation took place at Bio-Crematorium Le Sieur in Granby.
A visitation will be held beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday October 8, 2022 at the Funeral Complex Le Sieur:
